In form it is a large circular enclosure and is situated to the west of Little Kinnaber, at the top of the steep scarp that drops down to the bridges across the River North Esk. There are two concentric ditches, possibly palisaded, about 20m apart, which form the southern half of the enclosure, which may measure up to 100m in diameter over all.
