Details The remains of a small farmstead and enclosure lie in an area of woodland. It is depicted on the OS 1st edition map as a group of two roofed buildings, one of which has a horse-engine platform attached, and eight unroofed buildings. The farmstead was later remodelled and a new steading on an H-plan constructed to the southeast of the farmhouse. This steading contained what was presumably a threshing mill in its northeast range, and a lade delivered water to the water-wheel from a pond immediately to the north of the steading. The ruins now lie within a modern forestry plantation. Although the walls of the farmhouse still stands, little trace is now evident of the other buildings shown on the 1st edition, and these may have been removed when the new steading was built.
