Details Farmstead still in use. On the OS 1st edition it is shown as two groups of buildings, four small buildings in the west of which two are roofed and two unroofed, and four in the east, all roofed, of which two are long ranges, one with an attached horse-engine platform. The farmstead appears to have been remodelled later in the 19th century with the removal of the main ranges of the original farmstead, and the 2nd edition map shows an H-shaped steading, three other roofed and one unroofed building. The map also shows the addition of a sheepfold immediately south of the farmstead. When visited in 1997 by RCAHMS it was noted that the farmstead was no longer occupied but still roofed and in a reasonable state of repair.
