Remains of a farmstead, depicted as ruinous on the OS 1st edition map, but which does not appear on the 2nd edition. The 1st edition shows only a rectangular enclosure, but RCAHMS Strathdon survey has also recorded the remains of a building on the south side of the enclosure. The building measures 17.8 m by 4.6 m over grass-grown stone wall-footings, and is of at least two compartments, with a possible third compartment at the west end. A midden hollow is visible on the south of the building. The enclosure measures about 22 m by 12 m internally. This may be the farm named Caldens referred to in a sasine of 1788.
