Details Former coach house and offices, now in residential use, probably built in the mid to later 18th century with alterations in 1835 and later. It is sited immediately to the west of Candacraig House (NJ31SW0006), and with a game larder to the north (NJ31SW0178). The former coach house is a substantial two-storey, five-bay, rectangular-plan, piend-roofed building. To the rear are single-storey and attic piended ranges forming a U-plan around the rear courtyard at. The coach house is harled with stone margins and quoin strips, and the rear buildings are constructed from snecked rubble with ashlar dressings. Small-pane glazing patterns are used, largely in timber sash and case windows, and there are vertical astragals to the rear of Number 3 at the first floor. There are coped ashlar stacks with some cans and ashlar-coped skews with block and moulded skewputts. Features of the coach house include semi circular-arched voussoired carriage bays, a stone forestair, stone-pedimented and piended dormerheads and vertically-boarded timber doors. The interiors are largely modern, but Number 3 retains a staircase and timberwork, and a large ground floor laundry space.
