Field system, one of the most extensive systems in the Northeast covering 145 acres. Much of the system is now masked by afforestation, so it is difficult to confirm Ogston's claims of hut circles. The clearance heaps are larger than usual for the North-East, 6-12m in diameter. To the west of the long cairn (NJ40SE0019) is a possible burial cairn, 12m diameter, 0.70m high, with hollowed centre.
