Remains of a tomb as depicted on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps. It is a small enclosure set on an artificial platform. The interior slopes slightly to the west and measures 11.2m square within a drystone wall circa 0.5m thick and standing up to 1.6m in height. No graves are visible in the interior. An entrance on the south-southeast side is formed from reused late 16th or early 17th century sandstone doorjambs, probably from the tower house that once stood at Mains of Brux (NJ41NE0025). What may be a large sandstone fireplace lies face up outside the entrance, a small panel on the present upper face bearing the letters AEMF in relief, the initials of Arthur Forbes, 9th Laird of Brux, and Elizabeth Murray who he married in 1696.
