Details Kildrummy Castle Hotel with an entrance cottage, all still in use. The house, designed by A Marshall Mackenzie in 1900, is a large 2-storey ashlar Jacobean house built of a light cream-coloured sandstone found on the site. it is within the perlieus are the ruins of one of the largest Scottish castles, at one time belonging to King Robert I. Kildrummy is now the property of Mr James Ogston, Aberdeen, and is a well-known sporting estate situated in the upper valley of the Don. A fine terraced garden was laid out on the edge of the ravine.
