Two cup-marked porphyritic stones found and removed to Kirkton farmhouse in the 19th century. The cups were large and basin-like and some were surrounded by shallow rings. Jolly recorded in 1881 that there were two large stones at Kirkton farmhouse which had been found at the farm of Sandargue near the ruins of Lesmore Castle. One of these was of dark, hard, close-grained porphyry, split on one side, with usually large and basin like cups, two of which were surrounded by shallow rings. The second was of lighter porphry, with well formed cups which had no encircling rings although several were connected with grooves. No trace and no further information.
