Graveyard and site of church. The old church of St Luag was demolished in 19th Century. It was supposedly built circa 1700 (ONB) but the bell from the church (now in the local school) is dated 1620, indicating an earlier date of construction. In the graveyard can be found a gabled and moulded gothic recess containing the grave slab of Alex Gordon (1668) with a medieval stone coffin (Listed category B), located against the west wall, along with a fine collection of 18th Century grave slabs. Two symbols stones were also found in the fabric of the church when it was demolished (NJ42NE0029) and are on display at the entrance to the church, along with a third symbol stone, found at Barflat in 1978 (NJ42NE0046). Within the graveyard there are three Commonwealth war graves.
