Remains of a farmstead, occupying part of the former township of Craik. On the 1st edition OS map of 1870 it is shown as a long L-shaped building, with horsemill attached to the west front, a smaller L-shaped building to the east and a smaller building with attached enclosure further to the east. By the 2nd edition OS map of 1902 the horsemill is not shown, the smaller L-shaped building has been removed and the L-shaped building has had a southern wing added making it C-shaped with the court open to the east. When visited by the RCHAMS in 1996 the buildings were still mostly roofed and the horsemill platform was visible as a low flat-topped mound. The 2006 map shows the buildings are still mostly roofed.
