Farmstead and stables, partially still in use, dated 1819 with later alterations, set within the designed landscape (NJ42SE0047) around Clova House (NJ42SE0044). It is shown on the 1st edition OS map as a quadrangular steading with the east wing detached and two rectangular buildings within the court. There is a U-plan building to the south-east, an L-plan building to the east and another to the north. To the south-west is a pond. On the 2nd edition OS map one of the buildings within the court has been removed and a wind added to the south range and a rectangular building has been added near the pond. There are some alterations to the building to the east. Current OS maps show the buildings to the south-east and the north have been removed, as has the building near the pond, which has been infilled, although a small burn remains on its site. The steading is a large, single-storey (partly with attics and lofts), whitewashed quadrangle building with a detached piend-roofed bothy block. There was formerly a wheel, which has been removed. The west wing was formerly the stables. It is a single-storey, U-plan, white-washed building with a two-storey centre tower with gablets and pepper-pot angles.
