Farmstead still in use depicted on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps. The 1st edition shows a farmhouse, to the north of which is a U-plan steading open to the south, with an enclosure to the east. By the time of the 2nd edition two buildings have been added, one partially closing the south side of the steading court, and the second to the southeast of the east wing of the range. These later buildings are shown as ruinous on current maps. RCAHMS also notes that a late 18th-century estate plan (SRO: RHP 2260) depicts Over Mytts at this location, a farmstead comprising six buildings and three enclosures.
