Details Remains of a series of fairly straight banks and walls which run up the hillside towards enclosure (NJ50SW0002) so may be associated with it. The most northerly pair form a hollow-way. Walkover survey was carried out across this site in May 2009 by MAS in advance of a proposed windfarm development. A series of foundations were identified that appear to belong to pre-Improvement settlement along the edge of the higher ground of the hill. The remains of stone dykes, grass covered stone wall footings, a possible corn kiln and remnants of two sunken stock roads were identified as well as a triangular boundary stone incised with a 'B' on one side and 'H' on the other two side. It is suggested that this may represent Boddomend and Hirnely. The surveyed features are in the general location of small settlements shown on Roy's Military Map of 1747-55.
