Details Site of a railway station opened by the Alford Valley Railway in 1859, the line becoming part of the Great North of Scotland Railway in 1866. It was a single platform terminal station with long 7-bay, 1-storey rubble platform building. The signal box was opened in 1895. The station building was demolished after the line was closed in 1965. The station building which now stands on the site of the original was built in the 1970s to serve a new narrow gauge railway running to Haughton Park. See NJ51NE0076 for surviving goods shed.
