Details A milestone still in use. It is made of granite and rectangular in section. Its dimensions are 50cm from east to west by 34cm transversely, and 1.1m in height. It has a narrow chamfer around the edge of the top, which is flat. On the south and west faces are inscribed 'TO', with a possible number 9 on the west face. It is marked as 'Direction Stone' on both the 1st and 2nd edition OS maps.
