Details Fountain, dated 1882 and erected in memory of James Robertson, Bank Agent, of Huntly, who was born on the 20th January 1780, and died on the 4th February 1877, by his widow. It is a heavy square drinking fountain, set on a bullfaced granite plinth with a semi-circular polished granite trough to each face. The troughs support four polished granite colonnettes to each face, which in turn are supporting four polished granite colonnettes pinnacles, with escutcheons and a moulded overthrow. Besides the memorial inscription to James Robertson, the frieze carries various biblical texts referring to water.
