Railway station, opened by the Banff, Portsoy and Strathisla Railway, 1859. The goods yard lay to the west with the passenger station to the east, the passenger platform comprising the east face of an island, the west face being a loading bank in the goods yard. The north end of the island was covered by a wooden train shed with wooden overall roof. The offices were in a small single-storey block attached to the main train shed. To the south of the station was a double ended locomotive shed with a turntable at the south end. A track ran past the east side of the station to the harbour. The station closed in 1884 when it was replaced by a new station (NJ56NE0016) on the line west to Buckie. The old wooden goods shed survives, converted first to a coal depot, then a garage.
