Hall, built as a YMCA premises, dated 1884. It is a two-storey, two-bay corner block, with a return gable to Church Street (west) and a single storey, three-bay hall range fronting Institute Street (south). The hall continues to the east as a single-storey range. The building is harled with contrasting painted concrete dressings. The south range has a doorway with a letterbox fanlight, a flanking window, a pair of first floor windows and an apex datestone. The west return gable to Church Street has paired ground-floor windows and a small first floor bipartite. The windows, door and corners have long and short detailing. The corner block has a piended slate roof, with the hall having a gabled slate roof, with coped concrete end stacks.
