Details The Home Farm of House of Monymusk lies to the southeast of the house. The eastern section of the farmstead was built circa 1720-50, a long single-storey range. Much of it was rebuilt in the mid 19th century, between the 2-storey end blocks with skewputts at gables. The east block is 3-window and semi-elliptical, the west block is 5-window. Built of coursed granite it was extended westwards in the early to mid 19th century. There is a U-plan court with 2-window pedimented centre section, some later alterations. The cartshed range on the east has square granite columns. Building survey of the western part of the steading was carried out by MAS in 2016 ahead of proposed development. This western end of the range of buildings was built circa 1830, and comprises a 2-storey range with central pediment, flanked by 2-storey blocks. Originally the building comprised two coach sheds with coachman's accommodation on either side with the stables in the west wing. From circa 1920 the coach sheds were used as garages. In the 1950s the ground floor of the east accommodation (No.2) was converted to an agricultural shed but this burnt down circa 1995 and at the time of the survey was a shell. The west accommodation (No.1) was in use as a dwelling until recently and had been extended over the coach house in the 1970s.
