Former shoe shop/bakery and library room and librarian's cottage, depicted on the OS 1st edition as a distillery. The 1st edition shows two long ranges, one L-plan, on the eastern part of the site. West of these is a larger L-plan building with lade and sluice running from a large pond further west. By the time of the 2nd edition, the south wing of the L-plan range had been removed. The larger building has been altered or replaced, the map showing two rectangular buildings. Current maps show the buildings still in use as two properties (Library Cottage, and Still Waters) although the southern part of the easternmost range has been removed. Still Waters, the westernmost surviving building of the ranges, is Listed. It dates from circa 1830, comprising a single storey long range, probably two cottages or cottage and byre originally. It is rubble built with a piended slate roof, and the street elevation had been altered in the 20th century, with two enlarged or new windows and a door at the centre. Only one stack remains. Library Cottage, of mid 19th century date, comprises a gabled library room and librarian's cottage. The rubble built 2-bay cottage with gabled dormer as a library room attached at the southwest. The fragmentary remains of the distillery are now incorporated into a shed in the garden.
