Remains of a disused railway station and saw mill. An intermediate station on the Alford Branch of the Great North of Scotland Railway, it was opened on 25 March 1859. Later incorporated into the Great North of Scotland Railway, then into the LNER, closing to passenger traffic on 2 January 1950. The station is shown on the 1st edition map. and saw mill had been added by the time of the 2nd edition. It now comprised the remains of two platforms one on the north side of the main track, the other on the north side of a siding. The site of a timber building that stood on the platform is marked by a low stony stance. Remains of the saw mill include brick chimneys. Standing building survey of the remains was carried out by Cameron Archaeology in September 2023. A total of nine buildings associated with a saw mill were recorded, including the bases of two chimneys and a group of cement structures that may be the bases or mounts for saw mill equipment. One chimney base dated from the mid 20th century, the remaining structures were later.
