Hall probably built circa 1830 for the Ploughman's Society. Constructed of squared diorite with tooled dressings, it is of two storeys, four bays with two middle doors and an external staircase on the west gable. A round headed panel on the upper centre front contains a plaque of 1778, what may be a plough symbol, and a coat of arms with the initials AL, JG, MR (Leiths of Freefield who helped to defray some of the costs of building). It was empty and semi-derelict 1984, but subsequently restored. It is shown on the OS 1st edition on which it is annotated P.H. (Public House), with an L-plan building and a kennels to the east. The L-plan building had been removed by the time of the 2nd edition map on which it is annotated B.H. Photographic recording was carried out in 2016 ahead of proposed development.
