Details Farmstead depicted on the OS 1st edition map as a rectangular steading with a central open court with main orientation northwest-southeast. There are two small entrances in the east and south side. A building lies to the east parallel to the east side. To the north is a millpond fed by a lade from the north. It retains a roughly similar shape but with a more U-shaped steading. The pond is still evident. Today only a small part of the original steading survives on the eastern side of the present one. The pond still survives to the north. The farmhouse, dating from circa 1800, is single storey and attic. The rear wing was probably attached to contemporary front range but the latter was replaced circa 1870 by the existing 2-storey and attic 3-bay house. It has an earlier canted Gothick porch either reused from the original house or brought from elsewhere. The rear wing has a dairy room lined with Caithness Slate. There is a circa 1850 detached stable block comprising stable and carriage house with loft above.
