Details Alleged earthworks, shown on the Roy's map of 1745 and noted by the New Statistical Account (1845) which refers to two distinct lines of entrenchment. OS site visit 1969 concluded that these are not antiquities. The two trenches extend to Hill of Tillymorgan and are formed by a series of contiguous depressions of varying depths. They could be exploratory trenches in association with nearby disused slate quarries.
