Cottage dating from circa 1880, possibly remodelling of earlier cottage. Single storey and attic, 3-bay cottage beside River Deveron. Harled, with Turriff sandstone dressings. Door to the south, on east return of central, advanced, gabled porch. Windows flanking at ground. Three windows at ground to rear, two gabled dormers to attic, breaking eaves. Small window to west gable at ground, bipartite with stone mullion to attic. Casement windows with lying-pane glazing. Grey slates, bracketed eaves, exposed rafters. There is a coped central stack with four corniced, ashlar diamond flues.
