Cottage dating from the mid 19th century, modified circa 1880 in style of adjacent East Cottage, Waterside (NJ64NE0082). It is a single storey and attic, 3-bay cottage beside the River Deveron. Rubble, with Turriff sandstone dressings, a door on the south with flanking windows at ground floor. Single windows to centre at the rear, and two later, gabled wooden dormers to attic. Casement windows with lying-pane glazing. Renewed purple slates, bracketed eaves to gables, clay ridge tiles, coped stacks.
