Details Farmsteading of late 18th century with additions. The OS 1st and 2nd edition maps show a quadrangular steading with horsemill on the south and with two rectangular buildings to the north. Current maps indicate that another building has been added to one of these northern buildings and the other has been removed. Two buildings have been added south of the steading. A building survey was carried out by Cameron Archaeology in 2015 ahead of proposed development. The steading is a large quadrangular, classically detailed steading, dated 1797, with a 2-stage rusticated ashlar fronted tower with birdgcage bellcote over the vehicular access. It is built of square and pinned rubble with rubble base course and granite ashlar dressings, and slate roof. The original building to the north of the steading was a smiddy.
