Mausoleum to the south of Forglen House (NJ65SE0030). It is a gothic style, cruciform plan mausoleum on a raised terrace, built in 1865. Constructed of squared and coursed whinstone with cream ashlar dressings, gablet-capped buttresses and sculptural detail. The north-east elevation has ashlar steps to the terrace, and a pointed-arch doorway in a moulded panel with armorial and stepped hood-mould. The door is boarded with scroll detail to cast-iron hinges, moulded surround with nook-shafts and quatrefoils. There are round windows to the gable with trefoil glazing panels. The gable is flanked by paired buttresses, gabled with finials and crocketted pinnacles. On the south-west elevation, the band course is stepped to enclose a moulded armorial panel and there is a large rose window above to the gable, which is buttressed as on the north-east elevation. The north-west and south-east elevations have ashlar niches in crocketted gabled panels above the band course with nook-shaft and moulded pedestals. The gables are buttressed. Inside are three-tier burial vaults to the side walls surmounted by angels on corbels. Roofed in grey slates, with gargoyles, skew and blocking courses with raised ashlar bands of quatrefoil ornament, and cruciform finals to the gables.
