Details Village and harbour of Whitehills depicted on historic OS maps. There is little change visible in the village between the 1st and 2nd edition OS maps with the exception of a second harbour having been added to the north (NJ66SE0045) - the original harbour to the south was later infilled. It was the smallest North East village to retain its own fishing fleet, but the industry is no longer prevalent. The village is now double its original size.
