House, still in use, dated 1740. It is a three-storey, three-bay, harled house, with a symmetrical frontage and tooled ashlar margins. The principal elevation has a centre corniced door, with a shouldered lintel with carved grotesque head and heavily quoined jambs. The doorpiece cornice soffit is inscribed: 'TF 1740 ES'. TF probably stands for Thomas Forbes, silversmith in Banff. The first floor windows are longer, and 12-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows are used. The slate roof has a single end stack, and flat skews with run-off skewputts. There are two-storey wings to rear. Some original cornices and panelled doors remain inside.
