Details Site of a crofts depicted on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps. The 1st edition shows what are probably two crofts, each a long rectangular building with adjacent smaller structures. By the time of the 2nd edition the easternmost long building had been extended to a shallow U-plan with additional buildings on the north side and to the south, and is now named Springfield Croft. Another rectangular building has been added to the south of the western long building. An estate plan of 1798 shows three buildings with adjacent enclosures at the south end of a field named Cottar crofts of Whyntie, but these appear to be a little to the north of the buildings on the 1st edition OS map.
