Farmstead with dovecot, still in use, depicted on the 1st and 2nd edition OS maps. Possibly designed by Archibald Simpson. Built circa 1841, the principal building is a 2-storey Neo-Tudor quadrangular steading, harled with granite margins. The west wing is domestic with three advanced gables and a square dovecot tower with pyramid roof. On the 1st edition OS map, a probably horse mill is shown attached to the outer west face of the steading, but is not shown on the 2nd edition map. A windmill is depicted to the west of the steading on the 2nd edition OS map, of which there is now no trace. A cist was found at the site during improvement works shortly before 1866 (NJ71NW0008).
