Site of a water driven cornmill and sawmill, of which only the lade now survives. First depicted on Walker and Beattie's 'Plan of the Barony of Balquhain lying in the Parishes of Inverury and Chapel of Garioch and County of Aberdeen', surveyed in 1838, with the saw mill having been added by the time of the 1st edition OS map of 1869. By the 2nd edition map of 1901, only the sawmill is depicted along with the lade. A sales brochure of 1932 provides particulars of a sawmill and house at Whitehaugh. The house comprised four rooms and a kitchen with a good garden. There were also a wash-house, a wood store, a closet and a workshop. The sawmill is described as having a stone base and a 'water wheel at the side'. In 1932 the house and sawmill was let to a Mr Grant.
