Farmstead, still in use, depicted on the 1st and 2nd edition OS maps. On the 1st edition OS map it is shown as a square farmstead built around a central courtyard open at the south-west where there is another possible building. Three enclosures are shown to the west and there is a smaller building to the north, probably the farmhouse. By the 2nd edition OS map one of the enclosures to the west and the possible building have been removed. The courtyard is fully enclosed and the steading building has an extension on the west. The 19th century farmhouse is 2-storey and 3 window with a rubble-built front, harled gables and coped chimneys. The 2006 map shows that the enclosures have been removed, but that the buildings survive in modified condition. The farmstead, which formed part of the Castle Fraser Estate, was built in the early 19th century and altered in 1973-6.
