Remains of a granite quarry. Leschangie Quarry is the largest of several quarries that were opened in the late 19th century and are depicted on the 2nd edition of the OS map of 1901. The initial workings, now covered with trees, were in the southwest part of the area and they had already gone out of use by the end of the 19th century. The quarry was still in use in 1901, but it has long been abandoned, and, together with its adjacent spoil tips, is heavily overgrown. Together with Rubislaw, the most important granite quarries in Aberdeenshire, Paradise Hill, Whitestones, Tom's Forest and Leschangie employed 300 men in the 1860s.
