Details Logie House, originally built for James Elphinstone in the 17th Century as a 3-storey mansion house with circular angle tower. It was later so altered internally that few of the original 17th Century features were evident apart from the east and south frontages. Later subsidiary buildings projected eastwards to form three sides of a courtyard and a single storey extension masked the basement of the main block to the east. The plasterwork was among the best of its date in Aberdeenshire with a fine Rococo ceiling. The house was converted to a hotel, but the interior was destroyed by fire in 1974. Re-roofed and restored to a dwellinghouse in 2006. There is a walled garden to the north-west (NJ72NW0148). See NJ72NW0106 for designed landscape.
