Details Site of a stone circle. Three large stones from the circle were subsequently built into a nearby wall. The remainder of the stones were used for building. In 1983, prior to development of the surrounding area, the topsoil covering the site of the circle was cleared away. This revealed at least five stone holes. The circle had been deliberately slighted, as the holes had been enlarged and refilled with topsoil. A fragment of a standing stone lay on the subsoil surface in the northeast arc and evidence of considerable burning was found adjacent to the inner face of the stone hole on the south arc. Three possible post holes were also found 1-3m outside the south arc of the circle.
