Lodge, still in use, dated 'W.C. 1819'. It is in the form of a semi-circular arched pend with a three-window lodge flat over and circular angle towers corbelled out near the top with conical roofs and a corbelled and crenellated parapet. Crenellated screen walls run out at right angles to spired circular piers. It is constructed from pinned rubble with red sandstone dressings, and has a right-angled arrangement due to having originally stood at a bend in the road.
