Standing stone, probably the remains of a recumbent stone circle. The Gray Stone is a large rough whinstone boulder, lying horizontally, which measures circa 3.66 m long, circa 0.86 m wide and circa 0.99 m high. A stone wedge, 1.4 m long can be seen underneath the south end. Taking into consideration its horizontal position, compass-bearing, large size and the stone wedge, it is suggested that this is the recumbent stone of a stone circle. No other stones are visible.
