Details Manor house, and possible site of the old manor / mansion house, set within a designed landscape (NJ80SE0068). Originally named Kincausie (also known as Kincoussie / Kingoussie / Kyncowsy or Kincowsie), the Temple Lands were purchased by Henry Irvine, circa 1537, who built the original house there. The present large mansion house was rebuilt in circa 1750 and containing 16th century fragments, being remodelled in Scottish Baronial style in 1851 by David Bryce. The house is three storey and built of ashlar and slate. In the garden to the southeast are two sundials (NJ80SE0140) and (NO89NE0125).
