Details Farmhouse built on possible site of manor. The farmhouse was built circa 1800, and is a 3-window, 2-storey and basement house, with two wings to the rear. There are two cheese-presses at the end of the east wing. The house is harled, with a slated roof. The architectural drawings for this farmhouse (and associated farm) were reproduced in 'The general View of Aberdeenshire', published in 1811, as an example of good design. See NJ81NW0098 for farmstead.
