Farmstead, in use, depicted on the 1st edition OS map as a U-plan steading open to the south with a possible horse-mill attached to the east face. By the 2nd edition map, the farmstead has taken on its present form - an L-plan steading, in the same footprint as the east end of the U-plan building, with a smaller L-plan building, probably the farmhouse, to the south of the west end of the steading. The outline of the possible horse-mill is still depicted on this map. Today, both the farmhouse and steading survive, but there is no obvious trace of the horse-mill.
