Details Remains of a stone circle which consists of 7 stones surrounded by a low modern wall. Coles describes another 9 flat stones scattered around the circle, but the area enclosed has been used as a dump for stones from field clearance so it is impossible to separate these nine stones from more recent deposits. The modern wall runs along the west circumference of circle and a low overgrown ridge of stone can just be traced in the east. Two outliers stand outside the circle, one to the north and the other to the southeast. The circle is probably the cairn mentioned in Ordnance Name Book. When the cairn was removed in circa 1820, a stone cist containing 'ashes and unctuous matter' was found. Human remains have also found about 9.1 m (10 yards) east of the circle.
