The north front of the steading is B-listed. It is shown on the 1st edition OS map as a quadrangular steading with an attached horsemill to the south. On the 2nd edition OS map there are various additions and alterations, and the horsemill has been removed. Current OS maps show further alterations. The listed north front has an interesting scheme. It was originally symmetrical, comprising a centre segmental pend arch with a circular window over, flanked by a two-storey, three-window houses with porches and three-window units of three low storeys beyond. The building is harled with granite margins and a broad overall piend roof.
