Details Graveyard, and site of a chapel. The OS name book (1868) notes that a chapel dedicated to St Bartholomew was said to have been erected in the 13th century, and stood in a graveyard (in the 19th century partly in use as a school playground) The chapel is said to have been connected to Arbroath Abbey. OS found no trace in 1969, and RCAHMS site visit 2002 also recorded that no trace of a chapel can be seen in the burial ground. Some of the gravestones are of 19th century date, but most are 20th century. They include the Commonwealth war grave of Private J Hutcheon, Canadian Infantry.
