Pill Box, part of a line of World War II coastal defences. It is hexagonal in plan with brick walls, externally rendered with concrete, a concrete roof and concrete floor. The entrance is in the west wall, and a rectangular embrasure in each of the other five sides. The interior is furnished with a concrete bench which runs around the five embrasured sides. Movement of the dunes has caused the pillbox to tilt forwards revealing its five foundation pillars, three of which incorporate concrete sewer pipes. Site visit in 2022 as part of the SCAPE Coastal Zone Assessment Survey: site as previously described. A photographic survey and measured survey was carried out by CFA Archaeology in June 2024 ahead of golf course construction.
