Details Railway station opened in 1861 by the Formartine and Buchan railway. Formerly a 3-platform through station with main offices in a single storey harled-rubble building on the down platform. The island platform was added when the Boddam branch opened in 1897. It has a large wooden building with an iron-framed all round awning. Now disused. In the former goods-yard there is now a two by five bay rubble granary.
