Remains of a lodge built by Captain Fraser who was also responsible for the White Horse nearby (NJ95NE0021). A date panel is inscribed: 'In this/ Hunter's Lodge/Rob Gibb/Commands/MDCCLXXIX.' Rob Gibb was Charles II's jester. It is a simple, rubble-built 2-storey rectangular building. The southwest frontage is of three square windows ( two above, one below), checked for shutters and with chamfered doors. The northeast frontage is 2-window at the first floor, with a blocked door at ground floor. The south angle has collapsed.
