Details The farmstead of South Blackwater is depicted on the OS 1st edition map as a rectangular range with a central open court. Entrance to the court is a narrow pend in the southwest of the south side. Two other buildings with a small attached enclosure lie to the south, with another small single building to the north of the farm. On the 2nd edition the layout remains the same apart from the small single building to the north, which is no longer depicted. The area is now under the St Fergus gas terminal.
